Job summary

PM Consulting is seeking a Technical Training Department Head to lead the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of technical training programs for manufacturing operations. You will own the training lifecycle, assess needs, design curricula, deliver interventions, and measure impact to meet operational targets.

Collaborate with Operations, Engineering and Production, manage budgets, and mentor the training team to ensure knowledge transfer, competency, and sustained performance

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Mechanical/Electronics and Communications Engineering or related field.
• Significant experience in manufacturing operations and technical training including curriculum development and evaluation.
• Proven experience in developing and implementing structured technical training programs for manufacturing personnel.
• Ability to assess training needs, translate operational requirements into learning programs.
• Experience managing training processes, budgets, resources, and multiple training initiatives.
• Strong leadership, collaboration, and stakeholder management capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development and implementation of technical training strategies, programs, and processes aligned with manufacturing operations and objectives.
• Identify technical competency gaps and assess employee development needs in coordination with Operations and Support Functions.
• Oversee design, development, customization, and continuous improvement of technical training curricula and modules.
• Manage delivery of training programs using classroom, demonstrations, hands-on training, workshops, and other methods.
• Establish evaluation methods and metrics to measure training effectiveness and impact on performance.
• Collaborate with department heads and subject matter experts to ensure programs address actual manufacturing requirements.
• Develop and manage training budgets and resources, ensuring facilities and materials are used effectively.
• Lead and grow the technical training team, set performance objectives, and promote continuous improvement.
• Review and enhance training processes based on feedback and evolving business needs.
• Ensure proper documentation of training plans, attendance, assessments, results, and records.
