Job description

The British School Manila has a requirement for a prospective member of the support staff who will take the position in October 2026.

Head of Security

The holder of this position will efficiently manage the security team in maintaining a safe environment for the students, visitors and staff. Specifically, amongst other tasks, the Head of Security will:

1. Enforce policies and continuously assess, develop and improve security and safety systems and processes.

2. Manage the team of security guards, investigate and resolve security and safety incidents without further disruption of campus operations, and ensure the effective and timely delivery of services.

3. Conduct regular risk assessments to identify safety and security vulnerabilities and gaps, and design action plans and control measures.

4. Ensure that the campus is prepared for emergencies and circumstances that can potentially disrupt the continuity of campus operations.

5. Provide regular drills to students, visitors and staff to reinforce security awareness and emergency response protocols and stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and best practices.

Qualifications:

1. At least ten (10) years of relevant work experience and four (4) years in a senior security role in a multicultural environment. Experience working in a campus environment is an advantage.

2. Must be certified with at least CSP (Certified Security Professional) and CSMS (Certified Security Management Specialist). Being a CPP (Certified Protection Professional) and CCSSM (Certified Campus Security and Safety Manager) is an advantage.

3. Exhibits integrity and the ability to maintain principles under internal and/or external pressure.

4. Exhibits strong English communication and interpersonal skills.

5. Organised, systematic, efficient and diligent.

Remuneration

The pay and benefits package in Philippine peso will be tailored based on the candidate’s qualifications.
