Job summary

Vecmocon Technologies Pvt Ltd in Hinoba-an, Philippines, seeks a senior Quality leader to drive the company’s quality strategy across manufacturing and development. You will lead supplier, development, and production quality teams to ensure defect prevention and continuous improvement in automotive electronics.

The role requires 10–15 years in quality management, strong APQP/PPAP, FMEA, MSA, SPC, and 8D expertise, plus hands-on IATF 16949 experience and customer-facing audits.

Qualifications

• B.E./B.Tech or higher in Electronics, Electrical, or Automotive Engineering.
• 10–15 years of quality management experience in Automotive Electronics or Tier-1 manufacturing.
• Proven record leading production and development quality teams.
• Strong knowledge of APQP, PPAP, FMEA, MSA, SPC, and 8D methodologies.
• Hands-on experience with IATF 16949 and customer-facing audits.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement the overall quality strategy aligned with business and production goals.
• Lead the Quality team across supplier, development, and manufacturing functions.
• Build a culture of continuous improvement, problem-solving, and defect prevention.
• Define and enforce quality standards for incoming materials, in-process inspection, and finished electronics goods.
• Lead implementation of QMS: IATF 16949, ISO 9001, ISO 14001.
• Drive process capability improvement and lead PFMEA, control plan, and process validation.
• Establish supplier quality programs including audits and corrective actions.
• Collaborate with engineering during NPD to ensure design-for-quality and APQP compliance.
• Manage quality gates through prototype, validation, and SOP stages.
• Lead DVP&R tracking and ensure customer quality requirements are translated into design controls.
• Oversee PPAP documentation and OEM approvals.
• Act as primary quality representative for customer and internal audits.
• Maintain communication with OEMs on quality performance and improvement plans.
• Implement traceability systems, warranty analysis, RCA, and 8D problem solving.

Job description

- Lead the Quality team across supplier, development, and manufacturing functions.

- Build a strong culture of continuous improvement, problem-solving, and proactive defect prevention across all departments.

Manufacturing & Supply Quality

- Define and enforce quality standards for incoming materials, in-process inspection, and finished electronics goods.

- Lead implementation of quality management systems (IATF 16949, ISO 9001, ISO 14001).

- Drive process capability improvement and lead PFMEA, control plan, and process validation activities.

- Establish supplier quality programs, including audits and corrective action management.

Product Development Quality

- Collaborate closely with engineering teams during new product development (NPD) to ensure design-for-quality and compliance with APQP processes.

- Manage quality gates throughout the product life cycle: prototype, validation, and SOP stages.

- Lead DVP&R tracking and ensure customer quality requirements are translated into design controls.

- Oversee PPAP documentation and approvals for OEM customers.

Customer and Compliance Management

- Act as the primary quality representative for all customer and internal audits.

- Maintain excellent communication with OEM customers on quality performance and improvement plans.

- Implement traceability systems, warranty analysis, RCA, and 8D problem-solving frameworks.

Desired Candidate Profile

- B.E/B.Tech or higher in Electronics, Electrical, or Automotive Engineering.

- 10–15 years of experience in quality management within Automotive Electronics or Tier-1 manufacturing.

- Proven record in managing both production and development quality teams.

- Strong knowledge of APQP, PPAP, FMEA, MSA, SPC, and 8D methodologies.

- Hands-on experience with IATF 16949 certification and customer-facing audits.

- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and cross-functional leadership skills.

- Existing knowledge of BMS, Chargers and/or IOT preferred

- Strategic thinking with attention to operational detail.

- Strong communication and customer management abilities.

- Proactive leadership in high-paced, agile startup environments.
