Job summary

HRTx Inc. in the Philippines seeks a Head of Pharmaceutical R&D to lead end-to-end product development in a toll manufacturing/CDMO setting. You will drive formulation development, scale-up, and technology transfer while ensuring GMP/GLP compliance and timely delivery within cost targets.

The role requires extensive leadership, cross-functional collaboration, and hands-on direction to advance projects from concept through to commercial manufacture.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant field with licensure preferred.
• Strong leadership with 12–15+ years in pharma R&D; 5+ years in a leadership role.
• Experience in CDMO/toll manufacturing and tech transfer.

Responsibilities

• Define and execute the R&D strategy aligned with business goals and client needs.
• Lead formulation development, process optimization, and lifecycle management.
• Oversee pilot-scale trials, scale-up, and validation readiness.
• Ensure compliant technology transfer from R&D to manufacturing.
• Collaborate with Production, QA, and Engineering to ensure manufacturability.
• Act as primary technical contact for clients and manage multiple programs.
