Job summary

HRTx Inc. is seeking a Director of Pharmaceutical R&D to lead end-to-end product development in a toll manufacturing/CDMO setting.

You will drive formulation development, scale-up, and successful technology transfer to commercial manufacturing while ensuring GMP/GLP compliance and client satisfaction. This role bridges R&D with Operations, Quality, and Regulatory to deliver high-quality products on time and within cost targets.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering or related field.
• Licensed Pharmacist is strongly preferred.
• 12–15+ years of experience in pharmaceutical R&D, with at least 5 years in leadership.
• Strong background in formulation development, scale-up, and technology transfer.
• Prior CDMO / toll manufacturing experience is highly preferred.
• Knowledge of GMP and international regulatory standards (FDA, ASEAN, PIC/S).
• Proven ability to manage multiple client-driven projects and cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Define and execute the R&D strategy aligned with business objectives and client needs.
• Lead formulation development, process optimization, and lifecycle management across multiple dosage forms.
• Drive capability-building initiatives and mentor a cross-functional R&D team.
• Oversee pilot-scale trials, scale-up, and validation readiness for tech transfer.
• Ensure compliant documentation, regulatory readiness, and client communications.
