Job summary

Maybank Philippines is seeking a seasoned Litigation Unit Head to lead and oversee the bank's litigation and recovery actions. You will represent the bank in court, supervise the litigation team, and drive the achievement of legal action targets across foreclosure, collection, and related processes.

The role requires a Law degree (Bar passage), at least five years in litigation, and three years in a managerial banking context, with strong communication, negotiation, and analytical skills.

Qualifications

• Graduate of Bachelor of Laws; Bar Passer.
• At least five (5) years of work experience in the practice of law, particularly in litigation.
• At least three (3) years of experience in a managerial position in a reputable bank.
• Active in court litigation and knowledgeable in banking laws and regulations.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills; computer literate, analytical, proactive, and a team player.

Responsibilities

• Leads and oversees day-to-day litigation functions of the department.
• Represents the Bank in filing and prosecution of cases and supervises the Litigation team.
• Ensures achievement of litigation targets and oversees recovery actions (dacion en pago, settlements, etc.).
• Maintains filing, coordination with external counsel, and monitoring of monthly progress.
