Job summary

oCommerce is seeking a Head of India Operations to lead our India Delivery Center in Mumbai. You will drive operational excellence across all functions and build a high-performing leadership team, with ownership and accountability for end-to-end delivery.

You will translate US priorities into executable plans, shape hiring and workforce strategies, and implement KPI-driven governance to ensure quality and on-time delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Management, or a related field; MBA preferred.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and scale oCommerce's India Delivery Center, ensuring operational excellence across all functions.
• Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing leadership team and foster a culture of ownership, accountability, and continuous improvement.
• Own end-to-end delivery across Web Development, Creative Production, Digital Marketing, eCommerce Operations, Finance, HR, and Administration.
• Translate business priorities from the US leadership team into clear execution plans and measurable outcomes.
• Drive hiring strategy, workforce planning, and organizational growth to support business expansion.

• Manage the India operations budget and drive cost-effective, scalable operations.
• Develop future leaders through coaching, performance management, and succession planning.
• Serve as the primary operational partner for the Founder and Chief of Staff, providing regular business updates, insights, and recommendations.
• Identify operational risks, resolve escalations, and drive continuous process improvements across the organization.
• Champion employee engagement, learning, and a high-performance culture aligned with oCommerce's values and long-term vision.

Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Management, or a related field; MBA preferred.
• 10+ years of experience in Operations, Delivery, or General Management.
• Proven experience leading and scaling cross-functional teams in a digital agency, eCommerce, SaaS, or technology services environment.
• Strong leadership, people management, and team-building skills.
• Excellent operational, project, and stakeholder management capabilities.
• Experience in hiring, performance management, and organizational development.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Good understanding of HR, administration, and statutory compliance in India.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with global teams.
• High ownership, accountability, and a hands-on, execution-focused mindset.
