Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or related field.
- 7+ years in progressive finance leadership roles, startups/CPG/tech preferred.
- Strong knowledge of US GAAP, IFRS, tax compliance, and governance.
- Experience managing finance in multi-jurisdictional or international contexts.
- Familiarity with Web3, blockchain, crypto asset accounting, and funding structures.
- Proven track record in fundraising, investor relations, and financial reporting.

We are seeking a highly experienced and strategic Head of Finance (CFO) to lead our finance function as we scale rapidly. This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for overseeing corporate finance, accounting, compliance, and investor relations. The ideal candidate will bring strong expertise in startup finance, CPG industry knowledge, and familiarity with Web3/crypto accounting complexities. You will be a key partner in shaping our financial strategy, ensuring compliance across jurisdictions, and driving operational excellence.
- Lead and develop the finance function including bookkeeping, monthly closes, and consolidated financial statements.
- Implement and enforce accounting policies and standards, including revenue recognition, inventory valuation, and crypto asset accounting.
- Oversee payroll, tax compliance (US GAAP, IFRS, VAT, franchise, and sales tax), and corporate governance (Delaware filings, SEC regulations).
- Manage relationships with external auditors, tax advisors, and financial service providers.
- Prepare accurate and timely financial reports for management, board, and investor updates.
- Develop financial models, budgets, forecasts, and cash flow plans to support aggressive growth.
- Provide strategic insights and recommendations to the executive team on financial performance, risk management, and capital allocation.
- Support fundraising efforts by preparing investor materials, managing due diligence, and liaising with venture capital and private equity partners.
- Ensure adherence to all regulatory requirements including corporate records maintenance, SEC filings, and tax obligations.
- Implement controls and processes to safeguard company assets and ensure financial integrity.
- Oversee the accounting and valuation of crypto assets, token offerings, and blockchain-related financial instruments.
- Manage compliance with regulatory frameworks related to SAFE notes, Reg CF, and other innovative funding structures.
- Build, lead, and mentor a high-performing finance team.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including legal, operations, and product to align financial goals and business objectives.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field. CPA or MBA preferred.
- Minimum 7+ years of progressive experience in finance leadership roles, ideally within startups, CPG, or technology sectors.
- Strong knowledge of accounting standards (US GAAP, IFRS), tax compliance, and corporate governance.
- Experience managing finance in a multi-jurisdictional or international context.
- Familiarity with Web3, blockchain, crypto asset accounting, and emerging funding structures.
- Proven track record in fundraising support, investor relations, and financial reporting.
- Advanced proficiency with financial software and tools (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, Carta).
- Exceptional analytical, communication, and leadership skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic startup environment.
