Job summary

Metrobank is seeking a seasoned Head, Documentation & Control for its South Metro Manila operations. You will lead the Documentation Review Officers and Assistants, ensuring compliant, complete loan documentation and timely deliveries to Lending Units.

You will supervise, review policies, monitor exceptions, and support the Credit Control Division Head in staffing and reporting, driving robust controls and alignment with bank standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Banking, or related field.
• Minimum 5 years in commercial lending, credit operations, and loan documentation.
• At least 2 years of people management experience.
• Strong knowledge of commercial banking credit processes and post-approval operations.
• Experience in policy review, process improvement, and operational controls.
• Strong credit and risk mindset with attention to detail.
• Experience from local or international banks; local banking experience preferred.
• Exposure to corporate/commercial accounts is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Reviews and approves legal and collateral documents as Documents In Order for loan facilities.
• Directly supervises Documentation Review Officers and Assistants.
• Ensures output quality and timely submission of reports.
• Prepares Transaction Release Slip for incomplete documentary requirements and endorses deviations.
• Reviews policies to enhance control and closes process gaps.
• Supports Division Head in staffing and management information reporting.
• Monitors resolution of audit findings and deficiency reports.
• Oversees custody and maintenance of collateral files; ensures completeness of terms.
• Performs other related functions as assigned.
