Job summary

VRI Crew in Silang, Cavite is hiring a Head Mechanic to supervise and perform repair, maintenance, and troubleshooting for all company vehicles. You will work with the Motorpool Manager to plan maintenance schedules and monitor vehicle conditions.

Responsibilities include conducting diagnostic checks, handling both minor and major repairs, coordinating with on-call mechanics and external providers, and maintaining accurate maintenance records.

Qualifications

• Supervise and perform repair, maintenance, and troubleshooting for all company vehicles.
• Work hand-in-hand with the Motorpool Manager to plan maintenance schedules.
• Conduct diagnostic checks and resolve mechanical or electrical issues promptly.
• Coordinate with on-call mechanics and external service providers for repairs.
• Maintain accurate records of repairs, parts used, and maintenance schedules.
• Monitor inventory of tools, equipment, and spare parts.
• Enforce safety standards and maintain a hazard-free work area.
• Provide technical guidance to drivers and mechanics.
• Suggest cost-effective preventive maintenance to reduce breakdowns.
• Perform other related duties as assigned by the Motorpool Manager.

• Monitor inventory of tools, equipment, and spare parts, and ensure their proper use and safekeeping.
• Enforce safety standards and maintain an organized, hazard-free work area.
• Provide technical guidance to drivers and mechanics, ensuring efficient and safe vehicle handling.
• Suggest cost-effective solutions and preventive maintenance to reduce breakdowns and repair costs.
• Perform other related duties as assigned by the Motorpool Manager or management.
