Job summary

Cleo is hiring a Lead Conversational Designer for its Financial Assistant pillar. You will collaborate with ML, engineering and product teams to craft multi-agent chat experiences, embedding strong conversation design across channels and ensuring alignment with user needs.

Ideal candidates bring 1–2+ years in conversation design for LLM-based products, a background in related fields, and a passion for clear, user-centric writing across styles and platforms.

Qualifications

• Ideally a background or degree in Human Computer Interaction, Content design, Linguistics, Communications, or Psychology.
• 1–2+ years in conversation design with LLM based products.
• Experience designing conversation systems for LLM-based, multi-agent products.

Responsibilities

• Shape chat system architecture across squads, embedding conversation design in a multi-agent framework.
• Collaborate to define persona strategy across agents.
• Work with the core experience team to ensure projects are represented and aligned across UX.
• Design conversational frameworks and flows with GUI components.
• Help prompt engineer LLMs to match design intent.
• Analyze existing systems to boost conversation design impact.
• Strengthen multi-agent architecture from a conversation design perspective.
• Present design work to UX, product, and leadership for review.
• Collaborate with UX research and data analysis to assess features.
• Navigate ambiguity and bring clarity to design decisions.
