Job summary

Woundtech seeks an Engineering Lead to drive hands‑on software engineering and delivery while mentoring a small team of 3–6 engineers. You will own technical design, code reviews, architecture, and testing, and collaborate closely with Product, Design, QA, and DevSecOps to ship reliable healthcare software.

You will lead sprint activities, maintain engineering standards, and champion shift‑left quality across the development lifecycle, ensuring production readiness and scalable solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS, Software Engineering, or related field.
• 7+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Hands‑on engineer with ability to contribute 60%+ time.
• Experience leading small engineering teams (3–6) and mentoring engineers.
• Strong knowledge of modern web tech, architecture, testing, and CI/CD.

Responsibilities

• Act as player‑coach for a small team (3–6 engineers) while contributing hands‑on to code, design, reviews, and testing.
• Lead technical design and architectural discussions; evaluate tradeoffs across scalability, security, and reliability.
• Drive sprint planning, delivery, and cross‑functional collaboration with Product, Design, QA, and DevSecOps.
• Ensure shift‑left quality, automated testing, and strong engineering standards.
