Job summary

Kuehne+Nagel in Cebu City is seeking a Team Manager to lead Sea Logistics GS operations, driving productivity, quality, and compliance while supporting internal stakeholders.

You will oversee workforce planning, implement new processes, and champion continuous improvement through automation and Kaizen practices.

The role requires strong leadership, excellent communication, and a focus on operational excellence to meet customer requirements and SLAs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree holder with leadership experience.
• 2-5 years direct leadership experience.
• 5-8 years work experience in Sea Logistics.
• Proficient in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint).
• Knowledge of SALOG systems.
• Familiar with Kaizen and Six Sigma methodologies.
• Strong leadership and results-oriented mindset.
• Committed to operational excellence and customer focus.
• Able to work under pressure and maintain focus.
• Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.

Responsibilities

• Ensure delivery of services in line with agreed SLAs, KPIs, and quality standards.
• Optimize productivity and quality within the Sea Logistics Business Unit.
• Drive operations to meet internal customer requirements.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives and support projects that enhance the use of automation and processes.
• Oversee the implementation of new processes within the assigned area.
• Monitor and drive KPIs and reporting performance.
• Coordinate regular meetings to review performance, ensuring alignment with productivity and quality targets.
• Manage team operations, including workforce planning, employee rotation, and maintaining a positive working environment.
• Oversee workforce planning and scheduling, including vacations, breaks, and overtime, in coordination with HR.
• Conduct performance appraisals and support employee development.
• Ensure adherence to global process standards and governance frameworks.
• Act as primary escalation point for service delivery issues.

Job Purpose

The Team Manager is responsible for leading Sea Logistics GS operations, ensuring optimal productivity, quality, and compliance. The role drives continuous improvement, automation adoption, and team performance while delivering high-quality services to internal stakeholders. Lead and influence a matrix organization, driving alignment across dotted-line teams and cross-functional stakeholders.
