Job summary

GHD Philippines is seeking an Earthing/Grounding Design Engineer to support our Power Group and design grounding systems for transmission, distribution, and renewable energy projects. You will help ensure safety, reliability, and performance of critical power infrastructure.

You will deliver earthing designs, conduct grounding studies, prepare reports, and review vendor drawings. You will collaborate with clients and multidisciplinary teams, assisting with project coordination and mentoring of

Qualifications

Registered Electrical Engineer with 3+ years in HV/MV substations, renewable energy, BESS, or power infrastructure projects.
Experience in earthing/grounding and lightning protection design, including grounding studies and risk assessments.
Strong technical report writing and engineering documentation skills.

Responsibilities

Deliver earthing, grounding, and lightning protection designs for substation, renewable energy, and power infrastructure projects.
Perform engineering calculations, grounding studies, data analysis, and design development using industry-standard software.
Prepare technical reports, design documentation, and project deliverables.
Support site investigations, field testing, and review vendor drawings and technical submissions.
Collaborate with clients and multidisciplinary teams to deliver practical, high-quality engineering solutions.
Assist with project coordination, proposal development, and mentoring of junior team members.
