Job summary

Private Company, LLP seeks a Grid Specialist to ensure grid compliance and support interconnection processes with NGCP. You will assist in power system studies for renewable and infrastructure projects and coordinate with utilities and regulators in the Philippines.

The role requires deep familiarity with NGCP standards and Grid Code requirements, plus 5–8 years of power systems experience and strong stakeholder management. This is a project-based position with potential extension.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Licensed Electrical Engineer is preferred.
• Minimum 5–8 years of experience in power systems, with NGCP projects or coordination.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support grid interconnection applications with NGCP, including submission, follow-ups, and compliance documentation.
• Ensure alignment with Philippine Grid Code and NGCP technical requirements.
• Conduct and review power system studies (load flow, short circuit, stability analysis).
• Coordinate with NGCP on System Impact Studies and Facility Studies.
• Provide technical inputs during project development, design, and execution phases.
• Liaise with internal teams and external stakeholders.
• Support grid compliance audits and resolve technical issues.
• Monitor NGCP policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
• Assist in risk assessment related to grid connection and system integration.

Position Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Grid Specialist with strong hands-on experience working with or alongside the National Grid Corporation of the Philippines (NGCP). The role will be responsible for ensuring grid compliance, facilitating interconnection processes, and supporting power system studies for renewable and infrastructure projects.

The ideal candidate has deep familiarity with NGCP standards, grid connection procedures, and Philippine Grid Code requirements, and can effectively coordinate with utilities, regulators, and internal project teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and support grid interconnection applications with NGCP, including submission, follow-ups, and compliance documentation
• Ensure alignment of projects with Philippine Grid Code (PGC) and NGCP technical requirements
• Conduct and review power system studies (load flow, short circuit, stability analysis)
• Coordinate with NGCP on System Impact Studies (SIS) and Facility Studies
• Provide technical inputs during project development, design, and execution phases
• Liaise with internal teams (engineering, project management, business development) and external stakeholders
• Support grid compliance audits and ensure timely resolution of technical issues
• Monitor updates in NGCP policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements
• Assist in risk assessment related to grid connection and system integration

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
• Licensed Electrical Engineer is preferred
• Minimum 5–8 years of experience in power systems, with direct experience involving NGCP projects or coordination
• Strong understanding of:
• Philippine Grid Code (PGC)
• NGCP interconnection processes and requirements
• Transmission and distribution systems
• Proven experience in renewable energy (solar, wind, hydro) or infrastructure projects is an advantage
• Experience in power system analysis tools (e.g., ETAP, PSS/E, DIgSILENT PowerFactory)
• Strong stakeholder management and coordination skills
• Analytical and problem-solving mindset
