Graphic Designer & Social Media Content Specialist
The Graphic Designer and Content Specialist will be responsible for the production of content and creative assets across the business. The role takes approved messaging and transforms it into finished, on-brand, print-ready or platform-ready materials. This is a hands‑on creative production role, and the successful candidate must be able to write to a high standard while also producing polished, professional designs.
The role supports dental practices and brands across Melbourne, Brisbane, and Adelaide and reports to the Marketing & Acquisitions Manager.
Key Responsibilities
Social Content Production
- Produce the social content calendar for both brands from the approve campaign plan, and keep it populated four weeks ahead.
- Design and write posts for Instagram, Facebook, and LinkedIn so that the feed reads as one consistent brand rather than a series of unrelated posts.
- Adapt a single approved asset into the required formats for each platform, including feed, story and reels.
- Schedule posts, maintain the posting record and keep the source files organised so that any post can be reproduced or amended.
Print and Digital Collateral
- Design and produce brochures, flyers, posters, referral cards and clinic signage artwork in Adobe InsDesign and Illustrator.
- Supply print-ready artwork to specification, including bleed, trim, colour profile and file format, and liaise with the printer on proofs.
- Design and digitise patient forms so that they are usable both on paper and as fillable documents.
- Produce campaign and out-of-home advertising artwork when required.
Document and Presentation Design
- Turn a short brief from the Marketing & Acquisitions Manager into a finished Word document, including standard operating procedures, job aids, one-page summaries, internal briefs and reports.
- Build and maintain the Word and PowerPoint template set, including styles, heading hierarchy, contents tables, headers, footers and table formats.
- Apply and maintain the document control conventions used across the business, including version numbers, dated filenames, control tables and change logs.
- Produce presentation decks for internal and partner audiences.
Email and Campaign Assets
- Build email templates and campaign asset to brief, and hand them to the Senior Marketing Automation and Web Specialist for automation build and sending.
- Write and layout email content so that renders correctly across common clients and on mobile.
Brand Consistency and Asset Management
- Ensure all content and marketing materials follow established brand guidelines.
- Maintain an organised library of logos, fonts, photography, templates, and approved source files.
- Use consistent file naming and organisation practices.
- Review marketing materials against applicable advertising requirements before submission for approval.
- Identify gaps or issues in briefs and recommend practical solutions.
Collaboration and Continuous Improvement
- Work independently from short briefs and approved guidelines.
- Communicate clearly when requirements, deadlines, or approaches need clarification or improvement.
- Provide constructive recommendations on design, content, processes, and channels.
- Take ownership of assigned projects from brief through completion.
- Suggest improvements to creative output, processes, workflow without waiting to be asked.
Qualifications and Requirements
- 3+ years of professional experience in graphic design and content production, preferably within a marketing team or creative/ design agency.
- Strong portfolio demonstrating graphic design, social media content, and multi-page print collateral.
- Advance knowledge of Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop.
- Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
- Experience working in healthcare, dental, allied health, or another regulated industry, preferred but not required.
- Experience in creating email templates using Hubspot, Mailchimp, or similar platforms.
- Experience with short-form video editing and social media video production.
- Experience in using Canva.
- Basic WordPress editing experience, preferred but not required
- Familiarity with Meta Business Suite, LinkedIn, Microsoft SharePoint, OneDrive, Teams, Outlook, and ClickUp.
- Comfortable receiving feedback, explaining design decisions, and providing constructive feedback when necessary.
- Willing and able to work on-site.
