Job summary

KDCI Outsourcing is seeking a Graduate Power System Engineer to support electrical engineering projects across generation, HV transmission, distribution, grid connections, and power systems.

Working under the guidance of senior engineers, the role supports power system studies, technical design, project planning, site activities, and consulting work while developing practical engineering expertise and progressing toward Professional Engineer registration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Actively progressing toward Professional Engineer registration.

Responsibilities

• Support energy project registrations including HV grid connections and substation design.
• Assist in power system studies using PSS/E, PSCAD, PowerFactory, and Hypersim.
• Participate in site inspections and data collection.
• Assist in planning departmental tasks to meet timelines and objectives.
• Review designs for compliance with Australian Standards and client specs.
• Apply QMS and identify improvement opportunities.
• Contribute to cost-effective engineering solutions through research and analysis.
• Provide technical support to the engineering team and learn from seniors.
• Support Senior Engineers in managing electrical tasks to meet time, cost, and quality.
• Develop and manage project plans and resource allocation.
• Undertake billable consulting in Electrical Engineering for generation, HV transmission, and distribution.
• Assist management in developing team capabilities for various project work.
• Participate in team meetings and company initiatives.
• Support business development with tender submissions and proposals.
• Help the business win work and pursue new opportunities with staff support.
• Provide general project administration and collaborate with teams.
