UnionBank is seeking a Governance and Product Innovation Head to lead end-to-end strategy, governance, and performance for the Cards and Loans portfolio. The role bridges Product, Payments, Digital, Sales, Operations, and Risk to ensure innovative customer solutions while adhering to regulatory standards.

You will drive the product roadmap, oversee risk controls, and partner with internal teams to deliver sustainable growth and market leadership in a fast-paced environment.

• Oversee governance policies and regulatory compliance for the Cards and Loans portfolio.
• Act as the primary interface between Cards, Payments, and Digital teams on agile delivery.
• Drive pricing governance and revenue optimization strategies.
• Lead and develop a team of product managers and specialists.

About The Role

The Governance and Product Innovation Head is accountable for driving the end-to-end strategy, innovation, governance, and performance of the Cards and Loans portfolio. The role ensures the effective adoption of the Bank’s Product Development and Management Framework, while balancing business growth, digital innovation, profitability, and regulatory compliance.

This role serves as a critical bridge across Product, Payments, Digital, Sales, Operations, and Risk- ensuring that innovation initiatives, customer solutions, and governance standards are tightly aligned to deliver sustainable growth and market leadership.

What You’ll Do

Strategic Product Innovation & Business Growth

• Define and lead the product strategy and innovation agenda for Cards and Loans, aligned with business goals.
• Identify and drive key strategic initiatives to grow portfolio metrics (new cards, billings, balances, CASA ADB, revenue).
• Lead the development and enhancement of card and payment products, ensuring competitiveness in the market.
• Champion the introduction of new channels, digital capabilities, and customer-centric solutions.
• Ensure seamless and optimized customer journeys across physical and digital touchpoints.

Governance , Risk, and Regulatory Oversight

• Ensure adherence to the Bank’s Product Development and Management Framework and governance policies.
• Oversee compliance with internal policies and external regulations (e.g., BSP, Visa, Mastercard).
• Lead regulatory examinations, audits, and compliance initiatives for the Cards and Loans portfolio.
• Ensure product structures, terms, and conditions meet legal and regulatory standards while supporting business objectives.
• Monitor emerging regulatory trends and proactively mitigate business risks.

Payments & Digital Ecosystem Leadership

• Act as the primary interface between Cards, Payments, and Digital teams, particularly on mobile wallet and digital payment initiatives.
• Represent Cards and Loans in agile delivery teams, ensuring accurate translation of business requirements into execution.
• Contribute to the prioritization and development of the Digital product roadmap.
• Drive innovation in payment solutions, including co-brand and digital wallet integrations.

Portfolio Performance & Profitability Management

• Own and monitor end-to-end portfolio performance, including acquisition, usage, revenue, and profitability.
• Drive pricing governance , including fee structures, deal pricing, and revenue optimization strategies.
• Identify and address revenue leakage and cost inefficiencies (e.g., mobile wallet-related costs).
• Oversee marketing investments and ensure ROI alignment with business objectives.

Stakeholder & partnership Management

• Collaborate with internal stakeholders (Sales, Marketing, Operations, Finance, Risk, Digital) to deliver integrated business outcomes.
• Build and manage strategic partnerships with external partners to drive portfolio growth.
• Represent the Bank in industry forums and regulatory discussions related to Cards and Payments.

Customer & Market Insight Integration

• Leverage client feedback, market intelligence, and competitive analysis to shape product and pricing strategies.
• Drive customer education initiatives and product adoption programs.
• Monitor market trends and analytics to support data-driven decision-making.

People Leadership

• Lead and develop a team of product managers and specialists.
• Foster a culture of accountability, innovation , and cross-functional collaboration.
