Job summary

TekSynap is seeking a Cloud/Financial Operations Lead to join the defense team and oversee Azure IL5 cloud operations, backup/recovery, and cost forecasting. The role emphasizes FinOps tooling, dashboards, and cost reports to ensure compliant, secure government-grade cloud environments.

With DoD/IC experience preferred, the candidate will collaborate with cyber, security, and SaaS teams, while ensuring schedule adherence and occasional travel to Arlington, VA.

Qualifications

• Eight or more years in cloud operations with three or more years in cloud cost management.
• Experience operating secure cloud environments; Azure and M365 knowledge.
• FinOps, tagging, cost allocation, forecasting, and dashboarding experience.
• Knowledge of cloud backup, resilience, and security controls; DoD IL5 experience preferred.
• Demonstrated experience supporting government agencies, customers, or contracts within federal environments.

Responsibilities

• Oversee Azure IL5 and cloud operations

• Support Kion or equivalent FinOps tooling
• Develop dashboards and cost reports
