GECO Asia is Hiring: Google Cloud Platform (GCP) Engineer

GECO Asia is a specialist IT Consultancy Services company headquartered in Singapore, with offices in the Philippines, Indonesia, Malaysia, and China, with two delivery centers in the Philippines – Manila and Iloilo.

We are looking for a skilled GCP Engineer to design, build, and support secure and scalable cloud solutions on Google Cloud Platform. This role is ideal for someone with strong hands‑on experience in cloud engineering, infrastructure automation, and DevOps practices, who enjoys working on enterprise-scale environments.

What You’ll Do

• Design and implement scalable, secure cloud infrastructure on Google Cloud Platform
• Build and manage infrastructure as code (Terraform) using Git-based workflows
• Deploy and support containerized and serverless workloads (GKE, Cloud Run)
• Support cloud migration and modernization efforts
• Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines
• Design and manage cloud networking (VPCs, subnets, load balancing, DNS, firewalls)
• Work with core GCP services such as Compute Engine, App Engine, BigQuery, Cloud Storage, Pub/Sub
• Apply cloud security best practices and governance standards
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and continuously optimize cloud environments
• Collaborate with engineering teams and stakeholders to enable successful cloud adoption

Key Skills & Experience

• 5+ years of experience in cloud engineering, infrastructure, or DevOps roles
• Strong hands‑on expertise in Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
• Experience with Terraform and Infrastructure as Code
• Knowledge of containerization and orchestration (Kubernetes / GKE)
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
• Strong understanding of cloud networking and security
• Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash)

Nice to Have

• GCP Certifications (Cloud Architect, DevOps Engineer, Cloud Engineer)
• Experience with cloud migration projects
• Exposure to enterprise or regulated environments
