GECO Asia is a specialist IT Consultancy Services company headquartered in Singapore, with offices in the Philippines, Indonesia, Malaysia, and China, with two delivery centers in the Philippines – Manila and Iloilo.

We’re looking for a Google Data Engineer to design and build scalable, high-performance data platforms that power analytics, machine learning, and enterprise reporting. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys working with modern data technologies on GCP, and is passionate about transforming complex business requirements into reliable, efficient, and secure data solutions.

What You’ll Do

• Design and build scalable ETL/ELT pipelines using GCP services (Dataflow, Cloud Composer, BigQuery)
• Architect and optimize BigQuery data models for performance and cost efficiency
• Implement batch and streaming data pipelines using Pub/Sub and related services
• Apply DataOps practices including automation, testing, and monitoring
• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines for data platforms
• Manage infrastructure using Terraform (Infrastructure as Code)
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize production data systems
• Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and engineering teams
• Ensure data security, governance, and compliance standards
• Support containerized workloads using Docker and Kubernetes
• Drive continuous improvement in data architecture and platform performance

Key Skills & Experience

• 5+ years of experience in data engineering, cloud engineering, or related roles
• Strong hands‑on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
• Deep expertise in:
  • BigQuery, Dataflow, Pub/Sub, Cloud Composer
• Experience building end-to-end data pipelines at scale
• Strong knowledge of SQL and data modeling
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automation
• Hands‑on experience with Terraform
• Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, and containerized data workloads
• Experience with Git and version control practices

Nice to Have

• GCP certifications (Professional Data Engineer, Cloud Architect)
• Experience in enterprise-scale or regulated environments
• Exposure to advanced DataOps frameworks and governance practices
