Job summary

Power Integrations is seeking a Safety Engineer in the Philippines to oversee product safety testing, certification, and regulatory compliance. The role collaborates with international agencies and internal teams to ensure all safety requirements are understood and implemented.

The candidate will drive certification efforts, manage technical documentation, and stay ahead of evolving safety standards across markets, contributing to robust, compliant product development.

Qualifications

• Degree in electronics engineering or related field.
• 3+ years safety engineering or product compliance experience.
• Experience with power electronics design and power conversion systems.
• Experience in laboratory operations and compliance requirements.
• Proficient in technical documentation management and report generation.
• Experience interfacing with cross-functional teams.
• Knowledge of safety standards such as GB4943 and VDE 0884-17 an advantage.
• Experience with UL/IEC 62368-1 and UL 1577 standards.
• Experience working with certification agencies (UL, TÜV, VDE, CQC).
• Excellent written and spoken English.

Responsibilities

• Perform safety testing and compliance evaluations to international standards.
• Prepare and maintain certification documents and test reports.
• Collaborate with external safety experts, agencies, and internal teams.
• Define safety requirements within NPI and Marketing.
• Drive the certification process with consultants and agencies.
• Support factory inspections and certification program requirements.
• Investigate issues, identify root causes, implement corrective actions.
• Monitor evolving global regulations and safety standards.
