Global Inventory & Compliance Lead – Medical Devices

We are looking for a Stock Management Specialist to define, optimize, and manage finished goods inventory across our global direct business network.

This role is critical in ensuring product availability, traceability, and compliance within a highly regulated environment, particularly for implantable medical devices.

You will play a key role in maintaining inventory integrity, optimizing stock levels, and ensuring full alignment with Good Distribution Practices (GDP) and regulatory standards.

📦 Inventory Management & Optimization

• Define, monitor, and optimize inventory levels across warehouses and consignment stock
• Establish and manage min/max stock levels aligned with lead times and demand
• Prevent overstocking, shortages, and obsolescence
• Maintain accurate, audit-ready records in ERP/WMS systems
• Develop and track KPIs on inventory performance and compliance
• Prepare reports on stock levels, traceability accuracy, and expiry risks
• Work with IT to implement systems ensuring sustainable inventory control

✅ Compliance & Quality

• Ensure compliance with regulatory standards (EU MDR, FDA, ISO 13485)
• Monitor expiration dates, quarantine stock, and non-conforming materials
• Investigate discrepancies (damages, deviations, traceability issues) with Quality teams
• Support audits, inspections, and regulatory requirements
• Contribute to product recalls and FSCAs by ensuring full traceability
• Work closely with Quality, Regulatory Affairs, Procurement, Logistics, and Customer Service
• Align stock strategy with demand planning and market needs
• Support country managers in optimizing stock availability
• Deliver training on inventory optimization and management
• Identify and implement improvements in inventory processes
• Enhance compliance, operational efficiency, and data integrity

✅ Required Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Life Sciences, or related field
• Proven experience in inventory/stock management within a regulated environment
• (medical devices, pharma, or healthcare preferred)
• Strong knowledge of ERP/WMS systems (SAP or similar)
• Understanding of medical device regulations (EU MDR, FDA 21 CFR Part 820, ISO 13485)
• Advanced Excel skills and strong analytical capabilities
• High attention to detail, especially regarding traceability data
• Strong communication skills with the ability to work cross-functionally
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, regulated environment
• Experience with implantable or high-risk medical devices
• Knowledge of GDP/GMP standards
• Certification (e.g., APICS CPIM)
• Experience with audits and regulatory inspections
• Familiarity with UDI (Unique Device Identification) systems
