Job summary

INTEC Energy Solutions in the Philippines is seeking an experienced HV Substation Lead to drive the engineering and delivery of MV/HV substations for our global utility-scale renewable energy projects. You will oversee concept through handover, coordinating multidisciplinary teams and ensuring grid compliance.

Based in the Philippines with opportunities for international travel, the role requires a Bachelor's/Master's in Electrical Engineering, 10+ years in MV/HV substation engineering, 5+ years

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Minimum 10 years of MV/HV substation engineering experience.
• Minimum 5 years leading engineering teams on international EPC projects.
• Strong experience with utility-scale Solar PV, BESS, Wind, and Hybrid projects.
• Fluent English is mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Lead engineering and technical design of MV and HV substations for utility-scale projects.
• Manage the complete substation engineering lifecycle from concept to handover.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary engineering teams across primary, secondary, protection, and civil disciplines.
• Review SLDs, protection philosophies, equipment layouts, and earthing systems.
• Lead AIS and GIS substations, transformers, switchgear, relays, and SCADA interfaces.
• Ensure compliance with IEC, IEEE, CIGRE, ENTSO-E and other international standards.
• Coordinate interfaces with TSOs/DSOs, utilities, and EPC partners.
• Support procurement with specifications, vendor docs, and bid reviews.
• Mentor engineers within MV/HV team.
