Job summary

Citco Bank in Manila is seeking a capable GL Accountant to support journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and month-end close. The role involves ensuring policy compliance, assisting with financial reporting, and coordinating with internal teams and audits to maintain accuracy across ledgers.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree in accounting/finance, CPA/CFA preferred, and 2–4 years of GL accounting experience within a global financial services setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
• CPA/CFA or equivalent certification preferred.
• 2–4 years of GL accounting experience.
• Experience in a global financial services organization advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and post journal entries, accruals and adjustments.
• Perform monthly balance sheet and bank reconciliations.
• Support month-end and year-end close processes within deadlines.
• Investigate and resolve GL discrepancies and variances.
• Maintain fixed asset registers and intercompany reconciliations.
• Assist with preparation of financial reports and management accounts.
• Support internal and external audit requests with documentation.
• Ensure compliance with accounting policies and regulatory standards.
• Identify and recommend process improvements for GL efficiency.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (AP, AR, Tax) to resolve discrepancies.
