What does a/an Global Quality Manager do?

The Global Quality Manager is responsible for driving quality, governance, operational excellence, and continuous improvement across the Shared Service Center. This role will establish and maintain global quality standards, performance measurement frameworks, process governance, and transformation initiatives supporting finance operations.

The successful candidate will partner with business leaders and operational teams to ensure consistent service delivery, robust controls, process standardization, and continuous improvement. The role will lead a small team of specialists focused on quality, automation, and transformation while supporting the broader evolution of the shared service organization.

• Ensure consistent application of global process standards across teams and regions.
• Lead process harmonization and standardization initiatives.
• Establish documentation governance and periodic review cycles.
• Identify and prioritize opportunities for process optimization and automation.
• Sponsor and oversee transformation initiatives aimed at improving efficiency, controls, and customer experience.
• Apply Lean, Six Sigma, and operational excellence methodologies to drive sustainable improvements.
• Support process transitions, migrations, and organizational transformation projects as required.
• Collaborate with operational teams and IT stakeholders to identify automation opportunities.
• Oversee the automation pipeline and business case development for improvement initiatives.
• Drive adoption of digital tools, workflow solutions, analytics, and automation technologies.
• Ensure automation initiatives deliver measurable business value.
• Partner with Finance leadership, GBS leaders, business stakeholders, and process owners globally.
• Facilitate governance reviews and performance discussions with senior stakeholders.
• Serve as a trusted advisor on quality, service delivery, and continuous improvement matters.
• Directly manage 1 Automation Specialist, 1 Quality Expert, and 2 Transformation Project Managers.
• Coach and develop team members.
• Establish clear priorities and objectives.
• Build organizational capabilities in quality and continuous improvement.
• Foster collaboration across operational and functional teams.
