Michael Page International Recruitment Philippines is seeking a Global Finance Quality Manager to join our client's finance team in Makati City. This full‑time role oversees and enhances the quality of financial accounting and reporting across our global operations, ensuring IFRS compliance and rigorous data integrity.

The successful candidate will lead QA frameworks, audits, and process improvements, collaborate with regional finance teams, and provide training on standards and controls.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field; CPA/CA/ACCA desirable.
• 7–10 years of experience in financial accounting, reporting or audit; at least 3 years in QA/oversight.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS and GAAP.
• Proficiency in ERP/financial software, especially SAP.
• Analytical and detail‑oriented with strong problem solving.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience leading finance teams in a global/matrix environment.
• Solid understanding of internal controls, risk management and compliance.
• Ability to drive process improvements and best practices.
• Proficiency in Excel and data analysis tools.

About the role

Michael Page International Recruitment Philippines is seeking a Global Finance Quality Manager to join our client's finance team. This is a full-time position based in Makati City, Metro Manila. In this strategic role, you will be responsible for overseeing and enhancing the quality of financial accounting and reporting processes across our global operations. You will work to ensure compliance with international accounting standards, maintain the integrity of financial data, and drive continuous improvements in our finance function. This position is pivotal to ensuring that our financial reporting meets the highest standards of accuracy and regulatory compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement quality assurance frameworks and standards for financial accounting and reporting processes across global entities

• Conduct regular audits and reviews of financial statements and accounting procedures to ensure compliance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and local accounting regulations

• Identify process inefficiencies and recommend solutions to enhance the accuracy and timeliness of financial reporting

• Manage and coordinate with finance teams across different regions to maintain consistency in accounting practices and reporting standards

• Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor the quality of financial data and track improvement initiatives

• Lead investigations into accounting discrepancies and implement corrective actions

• Provide training and guidance to finance staff on quality standards, best practices and regulatory requirements

• Prepare comprehensive quality reports and present findings to senior management and stakeholders

• Stay current with changes in accounting standards, regulations and industry best practices

• Collaborate with external auditors and regulatory bodies to ensure full compliance and successful audit outcomes

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field; professional qualifications such as CPA, CA or ACCA are highly desirable

• Minimum 7-10 years of experience in financial accounting, reporting or audit, with at least 3 years in a quality assurance or similar oversight role

• Strong knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP)

• Proficiency in financial accounting software and enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems, particularly SAP or similar platforms

• Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail

• Excellent communication abilities, both written and verbal, with the capacity to explain complex financial concepts clearly

• Experience managing and leading finance teams in a matrix or global environment

• Strong understanding of internal controls, risk management and compliance requirements

• Demonstrated ability to drive process improvement initiatives and implement best practices

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and data analysis tools

• Experience working in a multinational or globally distributed organisation is preferred

Work Arrangement

• Hybrid: 3 days onsite/2 days working from home

• Mid shift: 2 PM to 11 PM PHT
