Job summary

Emerson's global Systems and Software organization seeks a Director of Technology to guide the Guardian software and solutions that optimize customers' distributed control environments across industries like chemicals, life sciences, and energy.

You will lead software engineering, QA, DevOps, and deployment teams while shaping the technology vision and roadmap to enable high-quality, scalable, and secure solutions across locations.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent.
Minimum of 10 years’ experience in software/technology engineering and delivering complex products.
Proven leadership of 7+ years leading multiple development teams in software/cloud/industrial tech.
Experience defining technical direction and translating needs into roadmaps.

Responsibilities

Lead software engineering, QA, DevOps, and deployment teams.
Guide Agile Release Trains and multidisciplinary teams.
Define and execute technical vision, strategy, architecture, and product roadmap.
Improve processes, enforce scalable automation, and strengthen team capabilities.
Establish priorities, objectives, and success metrics for engineering leaders.
