Job summary

Nexus Recruitment Group is seeking a detail-oriented Conflicts Management Analyst to support our compliance operations team for global legal engagements. You will help identify and assess conflict-of-interest risks before new matters are accepted, working with international stakeholders and ensuring adherence to firm policies.

The role emphasizes thorough research, precise conflict reporting, and effective collaboration with lawyers and risk managers.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Political Science, Business Administration, Economics, or any related course.
Fresh graduates welcome if meet requirements and demonstrate strong analytical and communication skills.
Prior experience in legal research, conflict checks, or due diligence in law firm, corporate legal team, or professional services firm is an advantage.
Familiarity with legal concepts, client engagement processes, and regulatory standards is desirable.
Experience using Intapp Open or other conflicts/confidentiality management systems is a plus.
Global exposure or working with cross-border teams is highly regarded.
Strong research and analytical thinking, with the ability to articulate findings clearly and logically.
Excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple requests in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
Professional written and verbal communication skills.
Proactive mindset, with a strong sense of responsibility and discretion when handling confidential information.

Responsibilities

Conduct thorough research and analysis of clients, related parties, and matters to identify potential legal or business conflicts of interest.
Prepare clear, concise conflict reports to aid decision-making by lawyers and risk managers.
Interpret and apply relevant policies, procedures, and professional responsibility rules related to client intake and engagement.
Liaise with international teams to ensure timely resolution of potential conflict issues.
Maintain accurate and comprehensive records of conflict checks and outcomes in the firms systems.
Provide input on improving processes, workflows, and documentation for better risk mitigation.
