Job summary

Orica in Manila is seeking an Accounts Payable Officer to deliver accurate, efficient AP services for Orica’s Australian operations while collaborating with stakeholders across global locations.

You will handle end-to-end supplier invoice processing, payments, reconciliations, and month-end close with a focus on controls and process improvement in a dynamic, multinational environment.

Qualifications

• A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
• Experience in Accounts Payable, transactional finance, or shared services environments.
• Strong understanding of Procure-to-Pay (P2P) processes and accounting principles.
• Experience performing reconciliations, invoice processing, and month-end activities.
• Exposure to Microsoft Dynamics AX2009 and/or D365 systems is highly regarded.
• Experience working in multinational organizations or shared service centres.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage high transaction volumes.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• A proactive and continuous improvement mindset.
• English and Spanish language proficiency is highly advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Process end-to-end processing of supplier invoices and payments.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and financial controls.
• Processing high volumes of supplier invoices in Microsoft Dynamics AX2009 and D365.
• Perform invoice matching and validation with POs, receipts, taxes, and coding.
• Manage vendor records and respond to supplier inquiries.
• Support weekly and ad-hoc payment runs, ensuring approvals.
• Perform reconciliations, resolve discrepancies, and assist month-end close.
• Assist with intercompany service invoice reconciliations and payment reporting.
• Maintain data accuracy and drive continuous improvement in AP processes.
• Collaborate with finance, procurement, and operations across Australia and globals.
• Support audits and ensure adherence to financial controls.
• Provide support for bank guarantees, payroll journals, leave provisions, and payroll tax management.
