Job summary

International Organization for Migration in Manila seeks a Senior Accounting Manager to lead the Accounting Compliance Unit (ACU), ensuring timely period end closings and robust financial reporting for COs across regions.

You will oversee risk assessment, internal controls, audits, and support global accounting oversight, working closely with DFAM, FAD, and regional offices. The role emphasizes integrity, coordination, and staff development across Manila and IOM networks.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy, Business Administration, Commerce/Finance or related, with seven years of relevant experience.
• Master’s degree in above fields with five years of relevant professional experience or CPA.
• Experience with international organizations and Oracle Cloud is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and supervise the Accounting Compliance Unit (ACU) in Manila with global reporting responsibilities.
• Provide monitoring, quality assurance and guidance to COs across regions on accounting rules and procedures.
• Lead risk assessment reviews, internal controls, and support external audits and donor audits.
• Deliver periodic management information and ensure timely month-end closures and reporting.
• Support policy improvements and capacity building within MIFS and related units.
