Job summary

Laguna Southwoods Products, Inc. is seeking a General Maintenance Supervisor to lead our facilities upkeep, preventive maintenance, repairs, and cleaning across plant operations.

The role requires strong technical knowledge, manual dexterity, and physical stamina to keep buildings safe and operational. You will report to the LSPI President and oversee a team of maintenance technicians, coordinate budgets, track work orders, and drive safety compliance and process improvement.

Qualifications

  • Must be an Electrical Engineer or Mechanical Engineer.
  • Experience in maintenance supervision and facilities management.
  • Experience with safety standards and compliance.
  • Willingness to work on-site and manage budgets.

Job Summary:

The General Maintenance Supervisor is a skilled general services worker that performs upkeep tasks such as preventive maintenance, general services, repairs, and cleaning. A General Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for the upkeep, repair, and management of facilities and equipment. Their role is critical in ensuring that buildings and infrastructure are well-maintained, safe, and operational. The General Maintenance Manager must have experience, solid technical knowledge and must possess manual dexterity and physical stamina.

The General Maintenance Manager is directly reporting to the LSPI President.

Duties/Responsibilities:

As a General Maintenance Leader, you’ll be overseeing the maintenance operations within an organization. Here are some key responsibilities you might have:

  • Team Management: Lead and supervise a team of maintenance technicians. This includes training, scheduling, and evaluating performance.

  • Preventive Maintenance: Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs to ensure equipment and facilities are regularly checked and serviced to prevent breakdowns.

  • Repairs and Troubleshooting: Oversee and coordinate repairs of machinery, equipment, and facilities. Troubleshoot issues to quickly identify problems and find effective solutions.

  • Safety Compliance: Ensure that all maintenance activities comply with safety regulations and standards. Conduct safety training and enforce safety protocols.

  • Budget Management: Manage the maintenance budget, including purchasing materials and supplies. Track expenses and work within budget constraints.

  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs and inspections. Ensure all documentation is up-to-date and accessible.

  • Facility Inspections: Conduct regular inspections of facilities and equipment to identify maintenance needs and areas for improvement.

  • Emergency Response: Respond to emergency maintenance issues promptly to minimize downtime and operational disruptions.

  • Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for improving maintenance processes and procedures. Implement best practices to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.

  • Reporting: Prepare and present reports on maintenance activities, including performance metrics, downtime analysis, and cost reports.

  • MUST BE AN ELECTRIC ENGINEER or MECHANICAL ENGINEER
