Job summary

melcoresorts is seeking a General Ledger Accountant, Shared Services to ensure accurate recording of journal entries, timely reconciliations and consistent application of accounting policies. The role includes supervising Assistant Accountants and preparing management reports.

Ideal candidates have 2–3 years of accounting experience and a university degree in Accounting/Finance, with proficiency in MS Excel, Word and PowerPoint. Knowledge of data privacy and intercompany processes is a plus.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2–3 years of accounting (commercial or auditing) experience.
• University degree in Accounting / Finance.
• Professional certification will be an advantage but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Prepares and reviews daily and monthly journal entries and ensures timely recording.
• Prepares account analysis and related supporting schedules.
• Provides supervision and training to Assistant Accountants and General Ledger Assistants.
• Prepares Daily Cashflow Report for Management.
• Prepares account reconciliation schedules for month-end closing.
• Interacts with affiliate companies on intercompany transactions/charges.
• Assists Senior Accountant with month end closing and variance analysis.
• Distributes departmental P&L and liaises with department heads.
