Job summary

The Laguna Creamery Inc is seeking a General Accounting Specialist to maintain the general ledger, perform reconciliations, and support month-end and year-end closing. You will prepare financial reports, monitor tax compliance, and assist audits to ensure accurate reporting and efficient processes.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field, at least 2 years of experience, and proficiency in Excel and SAP or similar ERP systems. CPA is preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• : At least 2 years of relevant accounting experience.

• : Proficient in Excel and accounting software.
• : Advanced knowledge of SAP or similar ERP systems.
• : Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, tax regulations, and compliance requirements.
• : Strong analytical, problem solving, organizational, and attention to detail skills.
• : Experience in month end and year end closing and audit activities.
• : Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and work effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
• : Proactive and team oriented with strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• : Maintain general ledger records and ensure proper recording and classification of financial transactions.
• : Perform bank and account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
• : Manage month end and year end closing activities and support timely financial reporting.
• : Prepare financial reports, budget analyses, and variance reports for management and other stakeholders.
• : Handle tax computations, payments, returns, and-related compliance requirements.
• : Support internal and external audits ensuring compliance with standards and policies.
• : Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes, efficiency, and cost effectiveness.
