The role focuses on maintaining accuracy and integrity of financial information while driving process improvements and internal controls.

The candidate will partner with cross-functional stakeholders, manage a high-performing accounting team, and support finance transformation initiatives within a global organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related business discipline.
• MBA, CPA, CMA, ACCA, CA or equivalent professional qualification preferred.
• Minimum 10 years of progressive accounting/finance experience including financial reporting and month-end close.

Responsibilities

• Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close activities to ensure timely, accurate reporting.
• Oversee journal entries, reconciliations, balance sheet reviews, financial statements, and management reporting.
• Manage statutory reporting, external audits, tax audits, and regulatory compliance with strong internal controls.
• Collaborate with Shared Services, Tax, Treasury, Legal, and other stakeholders to resolve accounting matters.
• Support audit activities by ensuring timely preparation and submission of documentation.
• Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes through automation and standardization.
• Lead, coach, and develop the accounting team during finance transformation initiatives.

Role & Responsibilities

• Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close activities to ensure timely, accurate, and compliant financial reporting.
• Oversee journal entries, account reconciliations, balance sheet reviews, financial statements, and management reporting.
• Manage statutory reporting, external audits, tax audits, and regulatory compliance requirements while maintaining strong internal controls.
• Partner with Shared Services, Tax, Treasury, Legal, and other stakeholders to resolve accounting matters and support business objectives.
• Support internal and external audit activities by ensuring the timely preparation and submission of required documentation.
• Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes through automation, standardization, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Lead, coach, and develop the accounting team while supporting finance transformation and system enhancement projects.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related business discipline; MBA, CPA, CMA, ACCA, CA, or equivalent professional qualification preferred.
• Minimum of 10 years of progressive accounting and finance experience, including financial reporting, month-end close, and general accounting management.
• Strong knowledge of accounting standards, statutory reporting requirements, regulatory compliance, SOX, and internal control frameworks.
• Proven experience managing audits, financial reporting, and cross-functional stakeholder relationships.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities with attention to detail and accuracy.
• Demonstrated leadership experience in coaching, developing, and managing high-performing accounting teams.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and process improvement skills, with experience supporting finance transformation initiatives.
