The General Accounting Executive assist in ensuring that the company operates in full compliance with legal requirements and standards that apply to a company’s financial reporting. This involves having clear and transparent processes and procedures for recording and verifying all financial transactions such as revenue, expenses, assets and liabilities. He/She monitors internal policies and by laws and ensures that company policies and procedures are adhered to.
Basic Duties and Responsibilities:
Corporate Compliance
- Validates and compiles creditable withholding tax certificates to be attached and submitted to BIR.
- Ensures timely filing and payment of all corporate monthly, quarterly and annual tax returns and supporting schedules and alphalists/reliefs which includes, among others, Value Added tax, withholding tax, Income tax, Final Tax, DST and other returns that arise during the course of business subject for review and approval of Finance/ Accounting Manager.
- Coordinates renewal of business permits to liaison in charge and monitors real property taxes with guidance and approval of the Finance/ Accounting Manager.
- Assist the Finance/ Accounting Manager to ensures compliance to BIR’s tax mapping requirements.
- Handles the filing, payment and collections as needed for SSS, Pag-Ibig, Philhealth monthly contributions, loan payment and reimbursement of advances.
- Reviews and monitors the timely issuance of BIR Form 2307, 1606
- Handles the compensatory tax annualization for the group.
- Proper handling/filingof documents and its safekeeping in compliance to BIR Ruling
- Manage the petty cash use and its recording.
- Any other duties as reasonably directed by the Finance Head/Manager/Supervisor or other member of the management team
Accounts Payable
- Keep track of all payments and expenses including payroll, purchase orders, invoices, statements, etc.
- Take responsibility for the day to day processing of all purchase invoices (indicate expected transactions per month) ensuring that invoices are checked and prices are correct and that any discrepancies are investigated and dealt with appropriately.
- Ensure that invoices are authorized for payment by managers/executive and matched to purchase orders where applicable
- Follow authorization of invoices organize payment runs, scan invoices and prepare cheques
- Assist in doing Payment schedule suppliers and vendors and its release
Accounts Receivable
- Perform daily update of sales/rentals report.
- Process timely reconciliation of accounts receivable, investigation and reconcile, and remittances
- Process accounts and incoming payments in compliance with financial policies and procedures.
- Perform day to day financial transactions, including verifying, classifying, computing, posting, and recording accounts receivables’ data.
- Prepare bills, invoices, and bank deposits.
- Reconcile the accounts receivable ledger to ensure that all paymentsare accountedfor andproperlyposted.
- Handle Journal entries and bank reconciliation
Basic Qualifications:
- BS degree in Finance, Accounting or Business Administration
- 5-8 years of relevant, hands‑on general accounting tasks
- Solid understandingofgenerally accepted accountingprinciples as well as mandatory government regulations; taxation and internal audit
- Work experience in Construction, Property Management and Leasing is an advantage
- Has strong analytical and planning skills
- Good communication and presentation skills
- Excellent problem solving skills.
- High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Ability to multi-task and work in a challenging fast paced environment
- Experience in handling Accounting system
Training Needed:
- Microsoft Advance Excel for Analytics
- Updates on mandatory compliances for tax and employee compensation, SSS, Pag-Ibig, Philhealth
