About the role

The General Accountant is responsible for managing and maintaining the company's financial records and accounting transactions. The role ensures accurate recording of revenues, expenses, payables, receivables, payroll-related accounts, and other financial activities related to the company's trucking and logistics operations.

Key responsibilities

• Record and maintain accurate daily accounting transactions and financial records.
• Prepare and monitor Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR).
• Process invoices, billing statements, receipts, vouchers, and other accounting documents.
• Monitor collections from customers and coordinate with the Operations and Sales teams regarding outstanding accounts.
• Verify and record trucking-related expenses, including fuel, toll fees, repairs and maintenance, parking, vehicle expenses, and other operational costs.
• Monitor and reconcile cash advances, reimbursements, and liquidation reports of drivers, crew, and employees.
• Prepare and maintain bank reconciliations and other account reconciliations.
• Assist in the preparation of monthly financial reports, schedules, and management reports.
• Monitor and reconcile revenue and expenses per truck, trip, client, or operational activity when required.
• Coordinate with Operations to validate trip records, delivery documents, fuel expenses, and other supporting documents for accounting purposes.

About you

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• At least 1–3 years of experience in general accounting; experience in trucking, logistics, transportation, or related industries is an advantage.
• Knowledge of Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, bank reconciliation, billing, collections, and general ledger accounting.
• Familiarity with BIR, SSS, PhilHealth, and Pag-IBIG requirements.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel/Google Sheets and accounting software.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in handling financial data.
• Good analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Able to work independently and coordinate effectively with Operations, HR, Finance, and other departments.
