About the role

The General Accountant is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and supporting financial reporting processes. This role involves preparing financial statements, managing accounts, and assisting in audits and tax compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain financial records, including journal entries and ledger accounts.
• Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Ensure timely and accurate reconciliation of accounts.
• Ensure compliance with tax regulations and prepare tax filings (BIR, VAT, withholding tax, etc.).
• Assist in the preparation of regulatory reports and financial disclosures.
• Coordinate with external auditors and government agencies.
• Process and monitor accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions.
• Ensure timely collection of receivables and payment of obligations.
• Assist in budget preparation and expense monitoring.Support internal and external audit activities by providing necessary documentation.

About you:

• Minimum of 2-4 years of experience in general accounting.
• Experience in financial reporting, tax compliance, and reconciliation.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• High attention to detail and accuracy.
• Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
