Job summary

Qualifications

• Graduate/Post Graduate with strong technical background.
• 10-15 years of experience in software testing with a strong focus on test automation.
• Proven experience in leading and managing teams in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience leading automation initiatives using Selenium, Playwright, Appium, TestNG and JUnit.
• Working knowledge of Java, Python, or C# and ability to guide QA teams.
• Experience driving quality engineering practices within CI/CD environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage QA teams across multiple projects, coaching and mentoring for growth.
• Define and execute the overall Quality Engineering strategy aligned with business goals.
• Establish testing best practices, governance frameworks, and continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to embed quality across the software delivery lifecycle.
• Oversee test planning, estimation, resource allocation, risk management, and reporting.
• Ensure requirement traceability, test coverage, and validation of critical processes.
• Drive defect governance with root-cause analysis and leakage closure.
• Ensure test data management and validation across integrated apps and APIs.
• Advise on AI-driven QA approaches and automation ROI.
• Embed quality in CI/CD and shift-left testing initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Mandatory experience in the Insurance domain, with Guidewire Property & Casualty (P&C) expertise considered a strong advantage.
• Lead and manage QA teams across multiple projects, providing coaching, mentorship, and career development to ensure high-quality delivery and team growth.
• Define and execute the overall Quality Engineering strategy, ensuring alignment with business objectives, delivery commitments, and client expectations.
• Establish and drive testing best practices, quality standards, governance frameworks, and continuous improvement initiatives across engagements.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders, product owners, development teams, architects, and operations teams to embed quality throughout the software delivery lifecycle.
• Oversee test planning, estimation, resource allocation, risk management, and quality reporting across multiple programs and projects.
• Oversee requirement traceability, test coverage, and functional validation across business-critical processes
• Drive defect management governance by monitoring defect trends, root cause analysis, defect leakage, and closure effectiveness to improve overall product quality.
• Ensure effective test data management and validation practices, including data verification across integrated applications, APIs, and downstream systems to support accurate functional testing outcomes.
• Quality Engineering & Test Automation Strategy - Driving automation adoption, ROI, and QE transformation initiatives.
• Continuous Testing & DevOps Integration - Embedding quality across CI/CD pipelines and shift-left testing practices.
• Test Architecture, Tools & Framework Governance - Evaluating, standardizing, and governing testing tools, frameworks, and automation solutions.
• Cloud, Environment & Test Data Management - Defining cloud testing strategies (Azure/AWS) and overseeing enterprise test data and environment management.
• AI-Driven Quality Engineering & Innovation -Leading adoption of AI-assisted testing, intelligent automation, and emerging QA technologies.
• Provide leadership in defining test approaches for functional, integration, regression, UAT, API, and automation testing activities.
• Drive QA transformation initiatives, including adoption of automation, shift-left testing, test optimization, and quality engineering practices.
• Evaluate and recommend testing tools, frameworks, and technologies to improve efficiency, coverage, and delivery quality.
• Monitor and communicate testing progress, quality metrics, project risks, and release readiness to clients and senior leadership.
• Lead distributed teams across multiple geographies and foster a high-performing, collaborative team culture.
• Identify opportunities for business growth by providing innovative solutions
• Cultivate and develop client relationships to enhance engagement and foster long-term partnerships.

Qualifications:

• Graduate/Post Graduate with strong technical background
• 10- 15 years of experience in software testing, with a strong focus on test automation.
• Proven experience in leading and managing teams in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong understanding of test automation technologies, frameworks, and best practices, with experience leading and governing automation initiatives using tools such as Selenium, Playwright, Appium, TestNG, and JUnit.
• Working knowledge of programming languages such as Java, Python, or C#, with the ability to provide technical guidance and oversight to QA teams.
• Experience driving quality engineering practices within CI/CD environments and recommending tools, frameworks, and processes that improve delivery quality and efficiency.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
