Job summary

Vinyl Equity, Inc. is seeking a backend-first engineer responsible for building and maintaining the APIs powering our tokenization platform. This role also covers full-stack tasks with React when needed, ensuring cohesive integration across frontend and backend.

You’ll collaborate with a cross-functional team in a dynamic fintech environment, design robust services, participate in code reviews, and contribute to continuous improvement through agile practices.

Qualifications

About the Role

You’ll build and maintain the backend services that power our tokenization platform - a project at the intersection of traditional finance and decentralized finance. This is a backend-first role with full-stack responsibilities: you’ll design robust APIs and services, and step into the frontend (React) when full-stack ownership is needed.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement scalable backend APIs and services using Node.js and TypeScript

• Collaborate closely with frontend developers to ensure seamless integration and full-stack ownership when needed

• Optimize existing services for performance and reliability, ensuring a smooth user experience

• Participate in code reviews and contribute to team knowledge sharing to foster a culture of continuous improvement

• Engage in agile development practices, including sprint planning and backlog grooming

Role Requirements

• 4+ years of experience in backend development, with a strong focus on Node.js and TypeScript

• Proficiency in React for full-stack responsibilities, ensuring a cohesive development process

• Experience building and maintaining backend APIs and services, with a strong understanding of RESTful principles

• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment, contributing to both backend and occasional full-stack tasks
