Role Overview

A cross-functional full-stack developer working on on-prem and cloud native applications for the financial services industry. The role involves using agile methodologies, collaborating across specialties—front-end, back-end, test automation, deployment automation—to deliver high-quality products. The successful candidate will help drive system delivery, introduce new technologies, and guide application evolution.

Responsibilities

• Participate in all team activities such as sprint planning, execution, daily scrums, reviews, and retrospectives.
• Develop front- and back-end code using React, Node, Java, Kotlin, Spring, and Hibernate.
• Work with relational databases, applying PL/SQL basics.
• Perform code reviews and uphold quality standards.
• Design and implement unit, integration, system, performance, and load tests.
• Manage AWS resources safely and cost‑effectively.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent.
• 3+ years of software engineering experience, including building and architecting web applications and back‑end services.
• 3+ years with Java/Kotlin/Spring/Hibernate.
• 2+ years with React/Node.
• Experience with Docker.
• Proficiency in AWS services such as S3, ECS, Fargate, API Gateway, IAM, CloudFormation, DynamoDB.
• Experience with relational databases (Oracle or PostgreSQL).
• Experience with NoSQL databases (Elastic Search) is an asset.
• Exposure to Python is preferred.
• Self‑motivated, strong analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills.
• Solid understanding of software development processes, debugging, code tuning, branching, coding styles, and refactoring.
