Job summary

SMS360 in the Philippines is seeking a hands-on Full Stack Developer to build and maintain scalable web applications powering our safety SaaS platform.

You will work on JavaScript integrations, RESTful services with Rails, and data flows across websites, SFTP, and Google Cloud Functions, collaborating with clients and internal teams to deliver robust software in a remote setup.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience with an agile development team
• 3+ years of experience with Ruby on Rails for API-based web apps
• Fluent in JavaScript, Stimulus, Hotwire
• Experience with PostgreSQL or other relational databases
• Experience with Redis or NoSQL databases
• Ability to turn ambiguous workflows into structured processes
• Philippine resident desired

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain efficient, scalable, and reliable code
• Design and implement solutions with understanding of edge cases
• Identify bottlenecks and bugs and devise solutions
• Follow established patterns within existing code bases

Full-Stack Developer

As a Full Stack Developer at SMS360, you'll build and maintain scalable web applications that power our industry-leading safety software platform.

Remote; Philippines

Safety Management Systems, Inc. is looking for an experienced Full Stack Developer interested in building SaaS applications for a U.S. headquartered Environmental Health & Safety company. Your principal responsibilities will entail (1) writing JavaScript integrations that live on client-facing applications, (2) configuring and maintaining the intake and manipulation of client data across multiple channels, including websites, SFTP clients, and Google Cloud Functions, (3) utilizing internal infrastructure and tooling to solve complex, often-unique, client-specific problems, and (4) interfacing with internal stakeholders and clients to help them understand and best utilize our array of products and services. Besides raw intellect and the ability to not take yourself too seriously, the value that you can contribute to the team is much more important to us than years of experience or titles. It is important to be detail-oriented in your work, as we work closely with a multitude of the industry’s top Blue-Chip companies, all of which have very stringent requirements around the look and feel of their web and mobile user interfaces.
