Ascendion is hiring for a software engineering role in Metro Manila, Philippines. The candidate will contribute to front-end and back-end development using TypeScript/Java/JSP technologies, configure and manage Tomcat servers, and ensure secure, scalable services with SSL/TLS and JVM tuning.

The role emphasizes production support and cross-team collaboration. Qualifications include strong SQL, experience with Okta for authentication, and familiarity with messaging queues and real-time data.

Competenze

• Front-end experience with TypeScript, JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3.
• Hands-on experience with Java 11+ and JPA/Hibernate.
• Experience configuring and administering Apache Tomcat.
• Knowledge of SSL/TLS, JVM tuning, and JAX-WS.

Qualifications and Mandatory Technical Skills

• Strong front-end development experience using TypeScript, JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3.

• Hands-on experience with Java 11 or higher, RESTful services, JPA, and Hibernate.

• Experience with application server configuration and administration, particularly Apache Tomcat.

• Knowledge of SSL/TLS configuration, JVM tuning, and JAX-WS web services.

• Strong SQL skills, including database schema design, query optimization, and performance tuning.

• Experience with Okta for authentication and identity/access management.

• Knowledge of messaging queues, asynchronous processing, and real-time data handling.

• Experience with workload and schedule automation tools such as Zena.

• Familiarity with SFTP and automated file transfer processes.

• Experience in application development, system integration, and production support.

• Strong troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and incident management capabilities.

• Excellent documentation, communication, and cross-functional coordination skills.

• Ability to manage multiple assignments and deliver within agreed timelines.

Preferred Experience

• Experience supporting banking, financial services, or Wealth Management applications.

• Familiarity with reconciliation processes, financial data extraction, and reporting tools.

• Knowledge of DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, version control, and secure software development lifecycle.
