Job Summary
The Restaurant Receptionist is the first point of contact for guests, responsible for welcoming customers, managing reservations, and ensuring smooth seating arrangements. This role helps create a positive dining experience from arrival to departure.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly as they arrive and thank them when they leave
- Manage reservations (phone, walk-in, and online bookings)
- Assign tables efficiently based on availability and guest preferences
- Maintain an organized waiting list during busy hours
- Answer phone calls and respond to customer inquiries
- Coordinate with servers and kitchen staff to ensure smooth service flow
- Handle guest concerns or complaints professionally and escalate when needed
- Keep the reception/entrance area clean and presentable
- Provide basic information about the menu, promotions, and restaurant policies
Qualifications
- Previous experience in hospitality, customer service, or restaurant work is an advantage
- Pleasant appearance and professional demeanor
- Basic computer skills (for reservations or POS systems)
- Communication Skills
