Job summary

Sunpride Foods, Inc. is seeking a Freon and Ammonia Operator to join our production team in the Philippines. You will operate, install, service, and replace parts in preventive maintenance schedules and perform minor calibrations as needed.

Responsibilities include executing work orders, PM checks, safety protocol adherence, and supporting audits and plant improvement projects under Engineering management.

Qualifications

• Graduate of TESDA NCII or Vocational Course in Refrigeration & Air Conditioning (RAC / HVAC).
• Minimum of 1 year hands-on experience as Refrigeration Operator/Technician in industrial/manufacturing setup.

Responsibilities

• Perform priority machine repairs and log daily work orders; submit root-cause analysis and CARs for downtime events.
• Conduct daily PM check-ups and routine pre-use testing on refrigeration components; submit monitoring checklists.
• Inspect safety interlocking devices; submit daily safety checklists and report missing/deficient safety components.
• Maintain detailed operational records to support audits and participate in plant improvement projects.

Job description

Job Summary

We are seeking for a Freon and Ammonia Operator to join our growing team. In this role, you will be responsible for the operation, installation, servicing, and replacement of parts in preventive maintenance schedules and performing minor calibrations. Perform system checks, updates checklist, system troubleshooting, and refrigerant recovery.

Key Responsibilities

• Work Orders & Repair Execution (35%): Perform priority machine repairs, log daily work order completions, submit initial root-cause analysis for missing spare parts, and prepare Corrective Action Reports (CAR) for downtime events.

• Preventive Maintenance (PM) Execution (30%): Conduct daily PM check-ups, perform routine pre-use testing on refrigeration components, submit daily monitoring checklists, and complete scheduled weekly repairs.

• Safety Protocol Execution (25%): Inspect efficiency of safety interlocking devices, submit daily machine safety checklists, and report missing or deficient safety components for immediate resolution.

• Audits & Special Projects (10%): Maintain detailed operational records to support government, supplier, and ISO audits, and participate in plant improvement projects assigned by engineering management.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Education: Graduate of TESDA NCII or Vocational Course in Refrigeration & Air Conditioning (RAC / HVAC).

• Work Experience: Minimum of 1 year of hands-on experience as a Refrigeration Operator or Technician in an industrial or manufacturing setup.

• Technical Expertise:

  • Fundamental skills in operating, inspecting, and troubleshooting Freon and Ammonia refrigeration systems.

  • Mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills for industrial plant machinery.

  • Familiarity with refrigerant recovery, preventive maintenance logging, and safety interlocking systems.

• Training / License: Basic Refrigeration certification / TESDA NCII.
