Responsibilities

• Monitor customer transactions, orders, accounts, and payments for suspicious or fraudulent activity.
• Review and investigate fraud alerts, chargebacks, disputes, and unusual patterns.
• Conduct detailed investigations using customer data, history, and fraud tools.
• Identify indicators of fraud: stolen methods, account takeovers, unusual purchasing.
• Approve, decline, or escalate transactions per fraud-risk procedures.
• Communicate with customers when extra verification or information is needed.
• Work with Customer Support, Payments, Finance, IT and others to resolve cases.
• Document findings, decisions and actions accurately and consistently.
• Monitor fraud trends and suggest improvements to prevention processes.
• Assist in analyzing chargeback and fraud-loss data for recurring issues.
• Follow policies, provider requirements, and data-protection procedures.
• Maintain confidentiality when handling sensitive information.
• Escalate high-risk or organized fraud cases to management.
