Cloudstaff Philippines Inc. is seeking a skilled Fraud Analyst to join our Payments, Risk, and Fraud Operations team.

You will detect, investigate, and mitigate fraud across a two-sided marketplace, working with product, engineering and customer operations to protect merchants and customers. The ideal candidate has 5–10 years of hands-on fraud analysis experience in e-commerce SaaS, familiarity with ML concepts for scoring, and certifications such as CFE.

Qualifications

• Experience on an e-commerce SaaS platform or website builder environment.
• Familiarity with machine learning concepts as applied to fraud scoring and anomaly detection.
• Certifications such as CFE or equivalent.
• Experience writing fraud policy or contributing to risk committees.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and investigate suspicious transactions, accounts, and activity patterns across the platform.
• Lead end-to-end fraud investigations related to payment fraud, account takeover, and identity abuse.
• Work with Revenue Operations to reduce disputes related to fraudulent activity.
• Develop, test, and tune fraud detection rules and models.
• Respond to and resolve customer escalations related to fraud/risk.

Job Description:

The Client is seeking a skilled Fraud Analyst to join our Payments, Risk, and Fraud Operations team. You will be responsible for detecting, investigating, and mitigating fraud across a two-sided marketplace platform. You will work cross-functionally with product, engineering, and customer operations to protect merchants, buyers, and the Client's customers while maintaining a seamless commerce experience.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and investigate suspicious transactions, accounts, and activity patterns across the Client'splatform

• Payments Fraud & ATO: Lead end-to-end fraud investigations related to payment fraud, account takeover (ATO), and identity abuse, applying sound analytical judgment

• Chargebacks & Disputes: Work with our Revenue Operations team to reduce disputes related to missed fraudulent activity

• Rule Management: Develop, test, and tune fraud detection rules and models

• Escalation Resolution: Respond and resolve customer escalations related to fraud/risk and partner with Customer Operations to improve workflow processes

• Data & Analytics: Query internal databases and data pipelines to surface fraud trends, anomalies, and emerging threat vectors

• AI Tooling: Leverage AI-assisted tooling to enhance investigation efficiency and fraud signal detection

• Contribute to fraud policy documentation, internal playbooks, and cross-functional training materials

Qualifications and requirements:

• Experience working at an e-commerce SaaS platform or website builder environment

• Familiarity with machine learning concepts as applied to fraud scoring and anomaly detection

• Certifications such as CFE (Certified Fraud Examiner) or equivalent

• Experience writing fraud policy or contributing to cross-functional risk committees

Non-negotiable skills and requirements:

• 5-10 years of hands-on experience in fraud analysis or risk management

• Demonstrated experience managing fraud risk within a two-sided marketplace (e.g. Shopify, eBay, Wix, GoDaddy, or similar)

• Proficiency with fraud management platforms such as Sift, Stripe Radar, Sardine, or comparable tools

• Knowledge of SQL and experience querying large datasets to support investigations and reporting

• Familiarity with payments ecosystems including chargebacks, dispute resolution, and card network rules

• Experience with account takeover detection techniques and identity verification workflows

• Comfort using AI-powered tools to augment investigative workflows and pattern recognition

• Excellent communication skills with the ability to present findings to both technical and non-technical
  stakeholders
