Merck Group is seeking a senior Finance professional in the Philippines to drive financial planning and analysis across global stakeholders. You will craft insightful reports and management commentary, lead variance analyses, and shape the forecasting process with senior leadership.

Qualifications

• . Graduate or Postgraduate in Finance.
• . CPA, CMA, MBA preferred.
• . Knowledge & exposure in SAP ERP.
• . Experience with financial reporting tools – BI tools, Hyperion, AFO.
• . Advanced skills in MS Excel.
• . At least 12 years in Finance with 8+ years in FP&A in a multinational.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with global finance stakeholders to understand expectations for financial analysis and reporting.
• Prepare and circulate actuals, forecasts, and last year's variances with commentary.
• Deep dive into variances to identify business drivers behind numbers.
• Handle ad-hoc reporting based on business requirements.
• Translate stakeholder requirements into new financial reports and KPIs with actionable insights.
• Prepare Leadership/Management decks and walk through data storytelling on numbers and assumptions.
• Support forecasting with inputs from finance partners and challenge inputs as needed.
• Coordinate with finance teams on process re-engineering, standardization, automation and analytics.

Your Role

• Work with stakeholders across the globe in finance to understand their expectations in financial analysis & reporting, Finance transformation and other Finance topics.
• Preparing & circulating and own financial reports – Actuals, FC, Last year, variances.
• Deep dive on variances beyond numbers to get the real business drivers behind variances.
• Handling Ad-hoc reporting based on business requirement.
• Walk through the stakeholders in various locations across the globe, translate their requirements & create new financial reports, analyze the financial KPIs, interpret them, Write Finance & Business commentary with actionable insights.
• Prepare Leadership/Management review decks, provide walk through on slides, story telling on the data, variances, underlying assumptions.
• Supporting the Forecasting exercise, gathering inputs from Finance business partners, analyze & deep dive on numbers, challenge the business inputs and act as extended FBP.
• Co-ordinate, gather, Partner with various teams in Finance for driving Finance transformation journey – Process re-engineering, Process Simplification & standardization, Automation, Analytics & solutions, financial modelling.
• Handling, maintenance of Finance tools, troubleshooting with Tech support, Validation & checks

Who You Are

Academic Qualification:

• Graduate or Postgraduate in Finance
• Professional Qualification in Finance is preferred - (CPA, CMA, MBA)

Technical

Skillset required:

• Knowledge & exposure in SAP ERP
• Hands on working experience in financial reporting tools – BI tools, Hyperion, AFO
• Advance skills in MS Excel

Professional Experience

At least 12 years of experience in Finance (of which 8 years MUST be in Financial Planning & analysis) in a multinational company handling senior stakeholders in a matrix org structure.
