Job summary

Huzzle is seeking a highly hands-on Founding Fintech Engineer - Banking & Payments to build a neobank-style platform. You will work directly with the founders and an existing developer to architect onboarding, KYC/KYB, accounts, payments, cards, FX, ledgers, settlement, and money movement.

This is a technical IC/lead role, not traditional management. You’ll influence architecture, tech choices, and domain models, while remaining deeply involved in production code and complex problem solving.

Qualifications

• 3–8+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Experience building production-grade APIs and distributed systems.
• Strong database architecture, data modeling, and system design.
• Experience with asynchronous workflows, retries, idempotency, and failure handling.
• Proactive technical leader who can own end-to-end systems.

Responsibilities

• Architect and build core financial infrastructure (accounts, ledgers, KYC/KYB).
• Design integrations with banking partners, card issuers, payment rails, and FX.
• Build provider-agnostic architecture for multiple banks/infrastructure partners.
• Develop secure, reliable APIs and data models for complex money-movement workflows.
• Build asynchronous systems with queues, retries, and transaction processing.
• Own systems end-to-end from design to production operation.
