Job summary

Sun Life Financial Foundation is seeking a Finance Specialist to support financial accounting, reporting and compliance for donor funds. The role partners with leadership, auditors and regulators to ensure accurate reporting and strong internal controls.

Responsibilities include managing day-to-day accounting, treasury activities, month-end closes and grant stewardship, while upholding donor restrictions and regulatory requirements. A CPA and nonprofit experience are valued.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline.
• CPA qualification is an advantage.
• Minimum of 3–5 years of relevant accounting/finance experience.
• Experience in nonprofit, foundation, donor-funded, or grant-funded organizations is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day accounting, treasury, and financial administration activities.
• Prepare and maintain account reconciliations and supporting documentation for reporting and audits.
• Support monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close and budgeting processes.
• Ensure compliance with donor restrictions and fund accounting principles.
